Delete your account

Applies to screentinker.com and every ScreenTinker server version 3.0 or later.

You can delete your ScreenTinker account yourself, at any time, from the dashboard or from the ScreenTinker Manager app. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

Sign in to delete your account

In the dashboard

  1. Sign in at /app (the link above opens the right place).
  2. Open Settings and scroll to Delete my account. In the Simple view, open the menu under your name and choose Delete my account.
  3. Read what will be deleted, then choose Delete my account….
  4. Type your email address to confirm, then enter your password (and the code from your authenticator app if you use two-factor sign-in). If you sign in with single sign-on, you are asked to sign in again first.

In the ScreenTinker Manager app (Android)

  1. Open the app and tap the menu under your name, then Delete my account. Or, on the Your servers screen, tap Delete account next to the server.
  2. Follow the same steps as in the dashboard: confirm your email, and your password or a fresh single sign-on.

Backups

Deleted data is removed from the live service at once. Copies remain in backups until those backups expire, and are never restored into a deleted account.

If you cannot sign in

Reset your password from the sign-in page first. If that is not possible (you no longer have the email address, or your organization's single sign-on is gone), email support@screentinker.com from the address on the account, with the subject Account deletion request. We confirm that the request comes from the account holder, then delete the account and reply when it is done.

On a self-hosted server, contact the server's administrator instead: a platform admin can delete any account from Platform → Users.
